The Reel

The all-new Shimano Twin Power XD A 4000XG Spinning Reel features a refined and optimized design for next-level saltwater durability and performance. Featuring robust CI4+ construction, this rugged reel is lighter compared to the original Twin Power XD from 2017.

The Shimano Twin Power XD A 4000XG Spinning Reel is packed with features expertly engineered for overpowering the most challenging fish. It sports Shimano’s micro module gear II and silent drive technology for extremely smooth and silent operation. The main Hagane gear provides strong cranking power, while X-protects grant superior saltwater resistance.

The redesigned long-stroke spool improves casting distance and the new MGL rotor delivers ultra-light friction-free rotation. What’s more, this strong and robust reel is also equipped with an aluminium Hagane body, cross carbon drag system and upgraded power handle knobs for optimum power and performance.
