The Reel
The new Shimano Nasci 2500HG FC Spinning Reel is exciting and powerful with unparalleled gear durability. The NASCI is also equipped with the new CoreProtect technology online roller that greatly improves water resistance and corrosion protection. HAGANE Gear
The HAGANE Drive Gear is produced by Shimano’s cold forging technology, without the need for additional machining. This delivers long-lasting smoothness, strength, lightness and power at the very heart of the reel. Traditional diecast, machined gears are less durable under heavy loads.

X-Ship

AR-C Spool Management System
Through tens of thousands of casting tests and computer simulations, it has been determined that this new AR-C spool lip design provides longer casting distances than a standard spool lip design while preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming. It also allows the line to flow off the spool in smaller loops during the cast, which means less slap on the stripper guide. This means longer casts with less friction.
